Connolly Brothers Saddlery Single Loop Side Holster
Here we are offering a Connolly Brothers Single Loop Side Holster in
60% New Condition showing minimal normal wear. This Connolly
Brothers Saddlery side holster is a rare find indeed especially in
this condition being fully usable with the leather still pliable and
moist with a minimum of detail loss on the border tooling. This
amazing holster feels like it is made from as good a saddle skirting
leather as any high end holster I have ever held from this era no
matter who the maker. The holster is pictured with an 1892 DA
Revolver with a 6” barrel which fits as well as any gun could ever
fit this holster for the right hand shooter. The Connolly Brothers
Saddleries Histories are included in our Company Histories Section
along with the maker marks and years they were used. The patina to
the leather has taken on a very dark brown which even borders on
black at this time but you can see the original brown color when you
pull the holster out of the loop. The Connolly Family Father and
then Son’s worked as Saddle Makers from the mid 1860s through the
mid 1930s in which they produced some extremely well built saddles
and leather goods.

Von Lengerke & Antionne Chicago Holster
Here we have a spectacular double loop holster from V L & A Chicago
a very high end sporting goods dealer in Chicago in the first half
of the 20th century until 1938 when they were purchased
by Abercrombie & Fitch. This Double Loop Holster is in great
condition showing minimal signs of normal wear other then slight
discoloration of the leather on the front of the holster. The V L &
A Company contracted the making of the leather to companies like H.
H. Heiser or the George Lawrence Company and others which I cannot
identify which by the numbers beneath the toe of this holster. The
holster predates the 1938 sale of V L & A to Abercrombie & Fitch
based the makers mark on the front of the holster. The beautiful
old holster is made for a large caliber revolver with up to a 5”
barrel length for the right hand shooter
