This item we are offering is a Fred Mueller Saddlery & Harness Company Drop Loop Gun Belt in 90% New Condition showing minimal normal wear. This is one really gorgeous Drop Loop Single Gun Belt made from very heavy select skirting leather with the leather itself slightly larger than 1/8” thick so is the billet. This was absolutely a Custom made piece that I have not been able to find in any catalog I have dated after 1928 and the reason I would say this is a custom piece are the three initials A. D. G. are tooled into the leather.

A previous owner of this Fred Mueller Saddlery Gun Belt had moved the billet toward the end of the belt to make it larger therefore we did make the alteration of returning the billet back to the original position. Everything on this Gun Belt is original just as the Fred Mueller Saddlery & Harness Company made it including the original Ammunition Loops for which there are 20 individual .38 Caliber Ammunition Loops. The Original Buckle is a North & Judd Nickel Buckle with the North & Judd Buckles being among the largest and best suppliers of Saddlery Hardware in the later 19th Century and early 20th Century.

The Gun Belt measures 39” to the middle of the billet and the sizes will adjust from 36 ½” at the smallest setting on the billet up to 41 ½” at the largest setting on the billet. The Initials A. D. G. measure 3 ¼” inches long and if the buyer would so desire a Single Silver Concho can be placed over these initials where they could not be visible at all but we leave that up to the Purchaser.

In closing, based on the Fred Muller Denver makers mark along with the U. L. W. I. U. mark, I would date this beautiful Drop Loop Single Gun Belt between 1917 – 1925 when the Company was renamed to Fred Mueller Saddlery and Ranchwear.
