Myres Saddlery which moved to El Paso, Texas from Sweetwater Texas in 1919. As a testimonial to Charles Bluemel, his business saw great success nationwide as he gained a reputation as a master Saddle Maker and Leatherman even though his saddlery was in such close proximity to the S. D. Myres Saddlery. Charles Bluemel was the primary Saddle Maker and Leather worker from the 1920s through the 1950s when Charles Bluemel's son Ed took over the operations of the business. The Bluemel Saddlery actually was open until the mid 1970s and all things considered the Bluemel Saddlery actually existed in El Paso, Texas longer then the S. D.
